Life may be viewed, in a sense, as variations on a theme. One such theme: dwelling in an ivory tower, figuratively manifested by academic life. Fallen Idols etches scenarios with considerable fidelity (as much as a novel can); permutations on said theme.
My comments reflect personal experience. This is a literary work well worth the time to read, appreciated most by denizens of the hallowed halls of academe.
