Add a CommentThis is a 2005 Argentine war drama written and directed by Tristán Bauer, based on a book written by a veteran of the war.
It is the story of two young men who were sent to fight the 1982 war in the Falkland Islands and who return home bearing the brutal scars of war.
The film appears as a powerful anti-war flick in the tradition of American Vietnam war films such as "Full Metal Jacket" and "Coming Home."
Let's take a look at the Falkland conflicts and heroes from a different view point. Gaston Pauls's low-key performance was touching and very efffective in this action-filled epic. He made me cry. Check him out in "Nine Queens".
