If you like listening to the songs of U2 from their early years, then, this "Best Of" CD contains 14 of what are considered to be their greatest songwriting achievements from the years 1980-1990.

(*Be sure to check out the "Unforgettable Fire" music-video*)

If you're looking for the perfect St. Patrick's day album, this is it. Featuring highlights from this mega-band's early career, this album includes classics such as Sunday, Blood Sunday, and Where the Streets Have no Name. They may have gotten a bit long-in-the-tooth lately, but this early stuff proves their worth.

To date, Irish, post-punk rockers, and proclaimed Christians, U2, have sold over 170 million copies of their albums, worldwide. As well, they have won 22 Grammy Awards, in all.

This "Best Of" CD covers the first decade of U2's flourishing career from between 1980-1990. As everyone I'm sure knows, it was 1983's War album that proved to be U2's instant ticket to fame and fortune. But, so far, the pearly gates of Heaven have not yet opened up for any of the members of U2.

Out of this CD's 14 tracks, 2 of my favorite are - New Year's Day and The Unforgettable Fire.

*U2 Trivia* - Paul Hewson is (vocalist) Bono's real name and David Evans is (guitarist) The Edge's real name.
