more than anything, this book is about communicating, and understanding the sometimes unfamiliar ways in which adolescent boys communicate (or don't) what they are going through.

Although many of the situations are quite limited to suburban, middle class culture, they can be unpacked and applied beyond the limits of the scope.

For parents who communicate well, and are engaged with their kids, you're doing fine.

This clever book gives you a key to understanding boys' attitudes and behaviors. I learned a lot about social mechanisms that rule boys' social universe.
