Arriving at her new college, Beca finds herself not right for any clique but somehow is muscled into one that she never would have picked on her own: alongside mean girls, sweet girls and weird girls whose only thing in common is how good they sound when they sing together. When Beca leads this a cappella singing group out of their traditional arrangements and perfect harmonies into all-new mash-ups, they fight to climb their way to the top of college music competitions.

This has always been one of my favourite movies. I love the humour, I love the plot, I love the relationships, and though I cannot sing, I live for those performances. I have probably seen Pitch Perfect around seven times now, and every time it’s better than the last. I watched the movie again recently, and it baffles me how they managed to fit so much dry wit and so many clever lines into the movie – and somehow I continue to pick up on jokes I’d never caught before. One thing in this movie, which I always love, is casual LGBT representation; Cynthia Rose is lesbian, and is unapologetic. The announcers, John and Gail, have always been (and probably will always be) my favourite characters in the franchise. They’re absolutely hilarious. Something else is that John continues to make misogynistic comments, and Gail continues to casually call him out on that, and as I continue to age and understand things like this, I really appreciate it. The movie gives me an indescribable feeling, but it’s probably something close to awe. I truly love it. I await the many more times I’ll watch it in the future, and I’m sure there are still things in the movie I’ve yet to catch. 5/5 stars

OK, really enjoyed the final two performances, but just don't care for Anna Kendrick.

Cute movie. The cast is good and there are some funny parts in the movie. Not a must watch to me though.

good songs and content.

Very catchy acapella songs with a generous amount of eye candy and workable story.

Singing was good, but the movie as a whole definitely did NOT live up to all the hype.

Enjoyed this movie and I believe Anna Kendrick at 5' 2" is very attractive. The movie is cheesy but funny which it is suppose to be as it is a comedy. However, I believe Pitch Perfect 2 was just horrible and overdone. Because of the second one I almost did not watch the third. The third was done better then the second but not the first. Pitch Perfect 1 and 3 are worth watching, just ignore the second.

Cheesy dialogue, almost over-done 'coolness' but great singing...all in all, a rather entertaining movie. Not one to go out of your way to make time for, but one of those '...yeah, why not...' type of movies. It's better than #2 and #3, as far as I'm concerned as there's at least a little build up to the story in this one.

The performers are all quite talented - triple threat performers - but too bad they did not have a better script to work with. Take the same actors and put them in a great musical and it'd be magic.

So, should you give this a try? Yeah, why not? Get the idea?

Gail: The Barden Bellas went deep into the archive for that song, John. I remember singing it with my own a cappella group.

John: And what group was that, Gail?

Gail: The Minstrel Cycles, John.

John: Well, that's an unfortunate name.

Aubrey: As you can see, Kori is not here. Last night, she was Treble-boned. She has been disinvited from the Bellas.
Beca: That oath was serious?
Aubrey: Dixie Chicks serious!

The Barden Bellas accomplish something that's never been done before, being an all girl group and going to the icca finals. Their rivals the Treblemakers eventually win against the Bellas. After 4 months the antagonist Beca arrives at the Barden college and her first encounter with Jesse happens when she's greeted by the campus guide.

She goes to her room, and her dad visits her telling her that Dj-ing is not a career. she fights back and her dad eventually cracks and says "try one semester joining groups and all those kind of things and if you really don't like it... i'll pay money for you to go to La"

Beca eaves to go to the "clubs day" while Jesse the other supporting actor meets his roommate and goes to the day too. His roommate Benji (the magician a.k.a the creepy kid) tells him that the only place to be is with the treblemakers on the Barden campus.

Then it goes to another supporting actress (rebel Wilson) joining the Bellas Aubrey and Chloe are the main girls from the previous bella group. and Beca receiving the invitation. Later Beca applies for the radio station internship and she meets Jesse there....

Beca goes and takes a shower when Chloe hears her singing David Guetta's "Titanium" and she insists for Beca to join the Bellas. Audition day goes by and Chloe is surprised Beca doesn't show up... but she does, not with the required song but with "Cups (you're gonna miss me)" (which I think is awesome..) originally by Lulu and the Lampshades.

Beca's accepted and they train, Jesse who also auditioned is accepted into the Treblemakers also trains with the Trebles. As training goes on Jesse and Beca's relationship grows closer and closer.

the riff-off comes and Beca gets mad at the Trebles for taking the bella's microphone. Jesse insists to give Beca a full "movie-cation" ( a movie education) and so she listens ... for the most part.

The bellas use the same song they used last year at finals where they choked for the qualifiers. At the semi's the bellas do the same song again... but this time Beca decides to do her own spin on it by adding in La Roux's "bulletproof" into the mix. The group is shocked and they lose their spot in the finals. there the Bellas get into a fight and with a simple misunderstanding Beca gets arrested. Beca screams at Jesse later for calling her dad, who nullified the offer for Cali.

Over Spring break Chloe gets her Nodes removed from her vocal chords (which later leads her to being able to sing deep). Beca really decides to watch one of the movies that Jesse wanted her to watch.
Beca talks to Jesse about their "relationship" and Jesse says it's over and she needs to think of how she treats other people. She goes to her dad and asks what to do... but her dad doesn't know.

then the bellas get a call. The boy in the other acapella group was not in college so their back in. The group misses Beca though because she quit. But when Beca comes back she has an idea to do a sharing circle. Aubrey the leader hands her pitch pipe ( the leader.... artifact) to Beca. Who does a completely new mashup/ set list.

The Bellas ram full-force into their training while the Trebles find out that their main guy- bumber is leaving to record for..... and so Jesse decides to try to get his roommate Benji into the group... which works but... lets just say in the end, the trophy goes to the bellas.
