Jeremy Thatcher is just a normal boy. He has a bet friend, bullies, a girl with a big crush on him and a teacher who seems to hate him. Pretty normal, right? Well, that was before he accidentally wandered onto a street he didn't recognize, found himself buying a mysterious sphere from a mysterious store, and found out that it was a dragon's egg. Now Jeremy must hatch and protect the dragon, with the help of an unexpected friend.

Add a CommentI like this book! But is sad at the end. And I think Jeremy is a nice boy.
best book ever
The librarian at Rosemount recommended this for my grandson. He read it as part of his Grade 2 reading assignment of a book for January and thoroughly enjoyed giving a 'book talk' on it.
A brilliant story by Mr.Coville. It really catches your eye, as well as your heart.
First book i can remember reading as a kid and it stuck with me. Great read I would recommend it for kids.
This has got to be one of my most favourite reads of all time. The other books in the series are great too!
