Some books on the Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare read like thrilling action novels. It is all action with some character exploration. This book reads like a departmental history of the Ministry. While not as exciting, it does set the context better, describes the internecine warfare, describe the reach and accomplishments of the whole program, and explain why the MOUW was subsumed under another program after the war.
Why not read both types of books!
