John McClane is off-duty on Christmas Eve in the nation's capital when a team of terrorists, in town to rescue a drug lord from justice, has taken over a major international airport, holding thousands of travelers hostage. Amidst a blinding blizzard, McClane must race against time to defeat the terrorists and their murderous leader while also contending with an inept airport police chief, the stubborn head of the Army's anti-terrorist squad, and the knowledge that his wife is trapped in a plane desperately low on fuel, circling overhead.

Overall, I really enjoyed watching Die Hard 2: Die Harder. I thought that it was a comparable sequel to the first film, and enjoyed seeing more of John’s story. I thought that it would have been boring, having the same general idea as the first movie; however, this film was completely unique, and held the same level of suspense. The plot was very clever, and easy to become engaged to. I would definitely recommend this film, especially to other viewers who enjoy action and suspense movies! You will be sitting on the edge of your seat for this film’s entirety! @PenelopeScriptor of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library

As in Die Hard 1, John was in the thick of things right before Christmas, but in Dulles airport DC during a snow storm instead of balmy downtown LA. And as in Die Hard 1, lots of interesting characters in between gun fights and explosions.

Not as good as the first one, there are a lot of big mistakes in the story. But still a very good watch!

Al: Hey, I'm right here partner. Your stiff's dossier is coming through right now.
McClane: What can you tell me about him?
Al: He's dead.
McClane: You needed a computer to figure that one out?
Al: No, no, no. You don't follow me. According to the Department of Defense, he's been dead for two years.

John McClane: Captain Lorenzo?
Capt Lorenzo: Yeah.
McClane: John McClane.
Lorenzo: Yeah, yeah. I know who you are. You're the xyzhole that's just broke seven FAA and five District of Columbia regulations, running around my airport with a gun, shooting at people. What do you call that shit?
McClane: Self-defense.
