Kassie, a smart, fun-loving single woman (Jennifer Anniston), despite her neurotic best friend Wally's (Jason Bateman) objections, decides it's time to have a baby--even if it means doing it herself-- with a little help from a charming sperm donor ... But, unbeknownst to her, Kassie's plans go awry because of a last-minute switch that isn't discovered until seven years later-- when Wally gets acquainted with Kassie's cute--though slightly neurotic--son

The premise of this movie is really disturbing and make for a poor comedy. Never have I disliked Jason Bateman in a movie so much...

Both Bateman and Anniston are like spackle when the storyline is as full of holes as this one. Both of the leads are excellent at what they do: Anniston the perpetually-aging and concerned White woman with the casual attitude barely concealing the heart of gold; Bateman the slighty-nerdy, smart (signalled, in nearly all his films, by his character being in the financial industry) yet loveable White guy.
This heart of this film--that is, "the switch"--is such a massive hole that the two of them need all of their spackling ability to make it work. It doesn't, unfortunately. Their performances (even with the addition of Jeff Goldblum playing, well, Jeff Goldblum), the serviceable (though cheap-feeling) production, and the occasional well-written line can'tkeep this afloat.

If you can put up with its - for lack of a better term - stupidity, it is a nice movie to watch

Good date coues movie fantasy love story

So-so. There was absolutely no chemistry between Kassie and Wally, and the predictable ending made no sense. Why did she change her mind?

Really sweet and funny. Loved Jason Bateman and the kid together. Loved the opening scene with Jason Bateman standing on the street corner...

Great movie! Loved Jason, Jennifer, Juliette, and Jeff as usual, and the kid was so cute. Although the ending was predictable it was so cute and absolutely perfect!

A very good movie! I didn't see it as a romance, though. It was more 'father-son' love. I loved it and I want to buy it!
