Agree with most of the coments and the ending reminds me of a hallmark production!!!!!!
Bill Robinson moves to Gloucester after being fired from the Boston police department. He runs an inn and has residents that have their own secrets. They all get along very well and consider each other family. When a drug dealer moves in the area and people are dying, Bill starts his own investigation. After that, people are trying to kill Bill and the residents of the inn. Bill swears he will do whatever he needs to do to put an end to the drugs in his area. This is a very good book from beginning to end.
Chose not to read at this time
Although not one of my favorites from Patterson, this was an engrossing thriller, Not one of his best; however, a gripping story of someone who leads unsuspecting people into the world of drugs and death.
Did not really like this book. Plot lines were quite unbelievable. Could not agree that the characters herein would react to the situations presented in the ways they did. Suspension of disbelief didn't work for me.
Not one of best or even better books. There are just some books I wish JP would not endorse. But as in all JPs books I finished it out of respect for James.
I did not enjoy this novel as well as other James Patterson books. There was not a character to root for or to really like.
Boston police decetive Bill Robinson is the owner and inndeeper in Gloucester. A dozen residents pay their rent along with the sheriff Clayton Spears. Then Mitchell Cline arrives with a crew of local killers that break laws, deal drugs, and deliver violence to the doors of the inn. Teaming up with the sheriff and two fearless residents-army veteran Nick Jones and groundkeeper Effie Johnson-Robinson begins a risky defense. Great book
It started off slow, but once I got into it I enjoyed the book in its entirety
